During this special week, literature enthusiasts have the opportunity to expand their collections. The "Well-Read Book Fair" in the library's reading room offers the chance to exchange literature freely with others.

On May 13th, we have a special offer for our students: The reading room will be open from 10:00 AM to midnight. The Study Night at Collegium Polonicum provides an ideal opportunity to focus intensively on exam preparation and complete ongoing semester projects.

In the breaks from studying, you can attend exciting events:

  • At 5:00 PM, Dr. habil. Izabella Parowicz from the European University Viadrina will introduce participants to the complex world of genealogical research, demonstrating how to effectively use the resources of the FamilySearch portal. This workshop will be conducted in English.
  • At 7:00 PM, photographer and librarian Adam Czerneńko will share his insights on images generated by artificial intelligence, questioning whether they are merely an innocent game or a serious threat. This lecture will be held in Polish.

Our librarians will be available at the reading room for consultations, offering support in searching library catalogs and creating accurate bibliographic entries and bibliographies. Consultations are available in Polish, German, English, and Russian.

Additionally, there will be complimentary coffee provided from 4:00 PM to midnight.

We look forward to your participation in Library Week at Collegium Polonicum and hope you enjoy the diverse offerings.
