Biography
Beata Jezierska holds a PhD in the humanities in linguistics (Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, 2016, with distinction). She is a graduate of Polish Philology with a teacher-training specialisation (Adam Mickiewicz University, 2010) and has also completed postgraduate studies in glottodidactics and teaching Polish as a foreign language at the Institute of Literary Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences (2024, with distinction).

She has always been passionately committed to promoting the Polish language and fostering active cultural and academic exchange between countries. In the final year of her MA studies, she studied at the Sorbonne, and as a PhD candidate she completed a research internship at the Library of the Polish Academy of Sciences Research Station in Rome, where her responsibilities included, among others, the archiving and cataloguing of photographs from the Lanckoroński Phototheque. Since 2016, the most important and most demanding mission in her life has been motherhood. After raising her child, she obtained a research position at the University of Udine.

A native of Poznań, she was born and currently lives there with her husband - an Assistant Professor in geography at a Poznań university - and their daughter. She has lived abroad both as a scholarship holder and as the spouse of a scholarship holder in Paris, Tübingen, and several Italian cities, both in northern and southern Italy (including Rome, Catania, Padua, and Udine).

She is currently employed at the Collegium Polonicum, where she teaches courses in linguistics, translation studies, and practical Polish language instruction. She also serves as the academic supervisor of the Student Association of Poland Studies.
