Research Objectives and Areas

The Laboratory aims to conduct interdisciplinary and transnational research in the field of biographical studies. Another key objective is the dissemination of research results both within the academic community and at the regional level, through cooperation with local institutions and organisations.

The Laboratory seeks to develop an innovative approach to biographical research that takes into account not only multiple academic disciplines, but also diverse national perspectives. This will be made possible by drawing on the borderland location of the Collegium Polonicum as well as the research experience of the Laboratory’s members in the field of biographical studies.

Planned activities also include cooperation with the Institute of Polish Philology and the Faculty of History of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, as well as with the Faculty of Cultural Studies of the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder).
