Jędrzej Krystek
Jędrzej Krystek is a graduate of Polish Studies at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and holds a PhD in the humanities in literary studies. In the academic year 2019/2020, he took part in a doctoral exchange at the University of Freiburg, and in 2020/2021 he was a scholarship holder of the Anneliese and Mieczysław Kocwin Foundation.
He defended his doctoral dissertation entitled “Makryna Mieczysławska in the Works and Documents of Polish Romanticism” with distinction at the Institute of Polish and Classical Philology of Adam Mickiewicz University in 2022. He is a recipient of the City of Poznań Award for an Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation (2023) and the Professor Alina ‘Inka’ Brodzka‑Wald Award for a doctoral dissertation devoted to contemporary issues (2023).
His scholarly work has been published in leading academic journals, including Pamiętnik Literacki, Poznańskie Studia Polonistyczne, Acta Universitatis Lodziensis, Wrocławskie Studia Wschodnie, and Czas Kultury, as well as in edited volumes. He is also a co‑author of the Dictionary of Polish Literary Criticism.
Since 2024, he has served as the Head of the Biographical Studies Laboratory at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań.
