Seminar at Corvinus University of Budapest
rom 3 to 6 March 2026, Can Yakup Baş, a member of the Laboratory for Research on Digitalisation Policy and Governance at the Collegium Polonicum, presented a proposal for a scholarly article entitled ,,The Instrumentalisation of an Ethnic Group: The Case of Turks in Western Thrace and the Role of Authoritarian Turkey” during a seminar held at the Corvinus University of Budapest.
In his presentation delivered to PhD candidates in political science and international relations, he outlined the main assumptions of the research, discussing issues related to authoritarianism, the influence of state institutions, as well as selected methodological and empirical aspects of the analysed problem.
The seminar, which was also attended by professors and experts, provided an opportunity for in-depth discussion and exchange of views. The proposed article attracted considerable interest among the participants, and the feedback and suggestions received during the discussion constitute valuable guidance for further work on the publication.
