Visit to Queen’s University Belfast
From 8 to 13 March 2026, Agnieszka Vetulani-Cęgiel, PhD, DSc, Associate Professor (UAM), held a study visit at Queen’s University Belfast. The visit was conducted as part of the research project ,,Resilient Civil Society in Poland”, led by Professor Michele Crepaz at Queen’s University Belfast.
During her stay, Professor Agnieszka Vetulani-Cęgiel delivered two research papers. The first, entitled ,,Lobbyist or Policy Adviser? Strategic Role Construction in Influencing Policymakers”, focused on the strategic construction of roles in influencing political decision-makers. The paper was co-authored with Professor Agnieszka Cianciara, PhD, DSc, from the Institute of Political Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
The second paper addressed research on lobbying under conditions of democratic backsliding. This project is being carried out in cooperation with Professor Michael Dobbins and dr. Rafael Pablo Labanino.
