During this special week, literature enthusiasts will have the chance to expand their collections. The “Well-Read Book Fair” in the library’s reading room offers an opportunity to freely exchange books with others.
On May 13, we have a special offer for our students: the reading room will be open from 10:00 AM to midnight. The Study Night at Collegium Polonicum provides the perfect chance to focus intensively on exam preparation or complete ongoing semester projects.
During study breaks, you can join exciting events:
- 5:00 PM — Dr. Izabella Parowicz from the European University Viadrina will introduce participants to the fascinating world of genealogical research, showing how to effectively use the FamilySearch portal. (Workshop in English)
- 7:00 PM — Photographer and librarian Adam Czerneńko will share insights on AI-generated images, exploring whether they are just an innocent game or a serious threat. (Lecture in Polish)
Our librarians will be available in the reading room for consultations, offering support with searching library catalogs and creating accurate bibliographic entries and bibliographies. Consultations will be available in Polish, German, English, and Russian.
Additionally, complimentary coffee will be provided from 4:00 PM to midnight.
We look forward to welcoming you to Library Week at Collegium Polonicum and hope you enjoy the diverse program!
