The meeting was opened by Prof. Dr. Justyna Krauze-Pierz, Rector's Plenipotentiary for Didactics at the Collegium Polonicum, and Prof. Dr. Jan-Hendrik Passoth, Vice-Chancellor of Viadrina and Director of the European New School of Digital Studies, who emphasised the importance of cooperation between the academic community and the unique character of the Collegium Polonicum as a place of learning and meeting.

In an informal atmosphere, discussions took place, experiences were exchanged and ideas for further activities were shared. The event was attended by the head of Polish-German legal studies, Dr. Łukasz Sokołowski, the vice-dean for student affairs of the Viadrina Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Erol Pohlreich, the Chancellor of the Viadrina, Robert Nissen, and the dean of the Faculty of Cultural Studies, Prof. Dr. Timm Beichelt.
