Positive PKA Decision for the Polish Studies Program
We are pleased to announce that the Presidium of the Polish Accreditation Committee, by Resolution No. 72/2026 of January 29, 2026, issued a positive decision regarding the program evaluation of the Polish Studies program offered at Collegium Polonicum in Słubice, a branch of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań.
In the 2024/2025 academic year, the Polish Studies program underwent a site visit by the Polish Accreditation Committee (PKA). The purpose of the accreditation was to assess the program’s compliance with applicable legal regulations and to evaluate the quality of education. The preparation for the visit was carried out by a team of research and teaching staff responsible for the program, under the leadership of the Rector’s Plenipotentiary for Academic Affairs, Prof. UAM Dr. habil. Justyna Krauze-Pierz.
Following the visit, the Presidium of the Polish Accreditation Committee granted the program a positive evaluation for the maximum possible period of six years. The positive PKA assessment confirms the high standard of education, the coherent structure of the study program, a student-friendly approach, the excellent qualifications of the teaching staff, and the effective operation of the quality assurance system at the AMU branch. The Collegium Polonicum infrastructure was also positively evaluated, including access to network and library resources, as well as the support system provided to students. The next program evaluation is scheduled for the 2031/2032 academic year.
