MoDE Programme Trip to Poznań

Members of the Digital Studies Student Research Club operating within the Master of Digital Entrepreneurship programme, together with their supervisor, dr Łukasz Dulęba, took part in a two-day study visit as part of an innovative project combining academic education with business practice.

The first item on the programme was a visit to the Poznań headquarters of Beyond, one of the leading international companies specializing in cloud solutions for businesses. Students were given a tour of the data centre, where they learned about the facility’s day-to-day operations and the challenges involved in maintaining technical infrastructure, with particular emphasis on the importance of access to energy sources and water resources.

Participants also visited the Welcome Centre of Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań and were given a guided tour of Collegium Minus, one of the University’s historic and representative buildings. During the visit, they learned about the University’s structure and the support services available to international students.

The final point of the visit was a tour of the Enigma Cipher Center, an institution dedicated to the history of cryptography and computer science. The exhibition highlighted the pioneering role of Polish mathematicians in breaking the Enigma code and the significance of this achievement for the development of modern computer science.
