Od zawsze pasjonował mnie świat biznesu, dlatego w szkole średniej wybrałam profil handlowy, a następnie ukończyłam studia licencjackie z zakresu aplikacji komputerowych. Co zmotywowało Cię do wyboru podwójnego kierunku studiów realizowanego wspólnie przez AMU i EUV?

Studia za granicą od dawna były moim marzeniem. Po wizycie w Niemczech w 2018 roku zafascynowała mnie tamtejsza kultura i środowisko akademickie — wiedziałam, że chcę wrócić.
Po dokładnych poszukiwaniach uznałam, że program podwójnego dyplomu realizowany wspólnie przez Uniwersytet im. Adama Mickiewicza i Europejski Uniwersytet Viadrina jest idealnym wyborem. Oferuje możliwość korzystania z atutów systemów edukacyjnych zarówno Polski, jak i Niemiec, zdobycia dwóch dyplomów oraz współpracy z międzynarodowymi studentami, co w pełni odpowiada moim ambicjom akademickim i zawodowym.

Wybór programu

Co Twoim zdaniem wyróżnia program Master of Digital Entrepreneurship i czyni go wyjątkowym?

Program MoDE tworzy wyjątkowe, międzynarodowe i interdyscyplinarne środowisko nauki. Studenci pochodzą z różnych krajów i dziedzin, co wnosi do zajęć wiele różnych perspektyw. Profesorowie z European New School of Digital Studies (ENS) są niezwykli — nie tylko eksperccy w swoich dziedzinach, ale także bardzo zaangażowani, otwarci i wspierający. Ich interaktywny styl prowadzenia zajęć sprawia, że nauka jest naprawdę angażująca.
Program doskonale łączy teorię z praktyką — oferuje solidne podstawy akademickie, ale też dużo miejsca na warsztaty, projekty i dyskusje oparte na realnych wyzwaniach. Co więcej, nowe obszary, jak sztuczna inteligencja, są płynnie wkomponowane w program nauczania, dzięki czemu mamy pewność, że uczymy się tego, co aktualne i potrzebne.

Doświadczenie akademickie

Które kursy lub doświadczenia najbardziej Cię ukształtowały?

Każdy kurs wniósł coś wartościowego, ale szczególnie zapadły mi w pamięć zajęcia z zarządzania projektami: Advanced Topics in Digital Entrepreneurship: Female Entrepreneurship. Poznałyśmy tam historie inspirujących kobiet, m.in. komiczki Eleny Gabrielle, które pokazały nam, czym jest odporność i przywództwo.
Podczas kursu prowadziłyśmy też analizy tematyczne i tworzyłyśmy diagramy Gioia, co pozwoliło nam świetnie połączyć teorię z praktyką.
Równie cenne były kursy AI Literacy i Computer Science in Management, które pogłębiły moją wiedzę z zakresu etycznych i strategicznych aspektów sztucznej inteligencji — obszaru, który mnie zawsze fascynował.

Czy w trakcie studiów napotkałaś jakieś wyzwania? Jak sobie z nimi poradziłaś?

Zamiast mówić o wyzwaniach, nazwałabym to raczej "drobne przeszkody po drodze". Początki były nieco chaotyczne — odnalezienie się w przepisach obowiązujących na dwóch uczelniach, różnice językowe i biurokracja potrafiły przytłoczyć.
Jeśli ktoś zna język i wcześniej miał styczność z tego typu formalnościami, będzie mu łatwiej. Ale nawet jeśli wszystko jest nowe — da się to ogarnąć. Trzeba to po prostu potraktować jako część procesu uczenia się.
Bardzo pomocni okazali się doradcy, profesorowie i pracownicy obu uniwersytetów. Dzięki temu doświadczeniu nauczyłam się być bardziej proaktywna, zadawać pytania i ufać systemowi wsparcia — to umiejętności, które na pewno zostaną ze mną na przyszłość.

Umiejętności i rozwój zawodowy

W jaki sposób ukończenie podwójnego dyplomu w ramach MoDE wpłynęło na Twoje umiejętności i przygotowanie do kariery?

Ten program naprawdę mnie ukształtował. Studia w dwóch krajach nauczyły mnie elastyczności, otwartości kulturowej i krytycznego myślenia.
Od strony akademickiej zdobyłam solidne podstawy w zakresie technologii cyfrowych i przedsiębiorczości, a praktyczne projekty pozwoliły mi rozwinąć konkretne umiejętności.
Osobiście, zarządzanie studiami w dwóch różnych systemach wzmocniło moje kompetencje liderskie, umiejętność współpracy i organizacji czasu.
Czuję się gotowa do pracy w rolach łączących innowacje cyfrowe z przedsiębiorczością i z odwagą podejmuję się wyzwań o globalnym zasięgu.

Jaką radę dałabyś przyszłym studentom rozważającym udział w programie MoDE?

Przyjedź z otwartym umysłem i sercem. Spotkasz niesamowitych ludzi z całego świata — każdy z własną historią i spojrzeniem na świat.
Program MoDE to znacznie więcej niż akademia — to społeczność, która naprawdę potrafi być wsparciem i drugim domem.
Bądź ciekawa, angażuj się i nie bój się pytać o pomoc. Przyjaźnie, wymiana kulturowa i osobisty rozwój, jakiego tu doświadczysz, są naprawdę bezcenne — mówię to z całego serca.

Czy jest jakieś szczególne wspomnienie, które zostanie z Tobą na długo?

Każdy dzień od początku studiów był wyjątkowy. Od razu poczułam się częścią tej społeczności — ENS przywitało mnie ciepłem i otwartością. To było jak znalezienie przyjaciół, rodziny i systemu wsparcia w jednym miejscu.
Bardzo ceniłam różnorodność myślenia, którą wnosiły osoby z różnych kultur i środowisk.
Te dwa lata były niesamowitą podróżą. Nauczyłam się więcej, niż mogłam sobie wyobrazić, rozwinęłam się na wielu poziomach i przeżyłam chwile, które na zawsze zostaną w moim sercu. Gdybym mogła, przeżyłabym to wszystko jeszcze raz — dokładnie tak samo.

Jakie są Twoje plany po ukończeniu studiów?

Chciałabym rozwijać karierę, w której mogłabym łączyć innowacje cyfrowe z przedsiębiorczością i pracować z ludźmi, by wspólnie tworzyć coś wartościowego. Jestem podekscytowana możliwością dalszego rozwoju, zdobywania nowych doświadczeń i aktywnego uczestnictwa w dynamicznym, globalnym świecie.

Introduction

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share your academic background before joining the Master of Digital Entrepreneurship (MoDE) program?

My name is Simran Dhami, and I’m from New Delhi, India. With a passion for business, I studied Commerce during my intermediate education before pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Applications. There, I built a strong foundation in programming, software architecture, and web technologies. This blend of business and tech sparked my interest in digital innovation, leading me to join the Master of Digital Entrepreneurship program.
What motivated you to pursue the double degree path between AMU and EUV?
Studying abroad had always been a dream of mine. After visiting Germany in 2018, I was inspired by the culture and academic environment and knew I wanted to return.
After thorough research, I found the double degree program between Adam Mickiewicz University and European University Viadrina to be the perfect fit. It offered the chance to experience the academic strengths of both Poland and Germany, gain two degrees, and engage with international peers, which aligns perfectly with my academic and professional aspirations.

Choosing the Program

In your opinion, what sets the Master of Digital Entrepreneurship program apart and makes it special?

MoDE program stands out for its truly international and transdisciplinary environment. Students from diverse backgrounds come together, bringing different perspectives and experiences. The professors at the European New School of Digital Studies (ENS) are truly exceptional. Not only are they experts in their fields, but their interactive teaching styles and supportive approach make learning more engaging. The student-professor relationship is built on mutual respect, and they are always patient, open-minded, and encouraging.
The program offers a perfect balance between theoretical knowledge and practical experience, combining a strong academic foundation with real-world learning through hands-on workshops, projects, and discussions. Plus, emerging fields like Artificial Intelligence are seamlessly integrated into the curriculum, keeping us ahead of the curve.

Academic Experience

What have been some of the most impactful courses or experiences?

Every course offered something unique, but a Project Management course: Advanced Topics in Digital Entrepreneurship: Female Entrepreneurship stood out. Hearing real-life stories from inspiring women, like comedian Elena Gabrielle, gave us insights into resilience and leadership.
We also facilitated discussions, identified key themes, and created Gioia Diagrams, bridging theory and practice beautifully.
Courses like AI Literacy and Computer Science in Management were equally impactful, allowing me to deepen my understanding of AI’s ethical and strategic dimensions—areas where I had prior interest and knowledge.

Where there any specific challenges during your studies and if so, how have you overcome them?

Rather than challenges, I’d describe them as small bumps along the way. Navigating different study regulations from two universities was initially confusing, especially when combined with the language barrier and unfamiliar bureaucratic processes.
If you already know the language and have dealt with bureaucracy before, it becomes much easier. But if it’s your first time, it can feel a bit overwhelming to manage everything at once. Still, you’ll be fine—just take it as part of the learning experience.
The support from the study advisory teams, professors, and staff at both universities was incredible. I learned the importance of being proactive, asking questions, and trusting the support system—skills that helped me become more independent, adaptable, and confident along the way.

Skills and Career Impact

How has pursuing the double degree in MoDE enhanced your skills and prepared you for a future career?

This double degree has been truly transformative. Studying across two countries sharpened my adaptability, cultural awareness, and critical thinking.
Academically, I built a strong foundation in digital technologies and entrepreneurship, while hands-on projects honed my practical skills.
Personally, managing coursework across two systems strengthened my leadership, collaboration, and time management abilities.
I now feel fully prepared to step into roles that blend digital innovation and entrepreneurship, with the confidence to tackle global challenges creatively.

Reflection and Advice

Looking back, what advice would you give to prospective students considering the Master of Digital Entrepreneurship program?

Come with an open mind and an open heart. You’ll meet amazing people from around the world, each bringing unique backgrounds and perspectives.
MoDE program is so much more than academics—it’s a supportive, vibrant community that feels like a family away from home.
Be curious, get involved, and don’t hesitate to ask for help when you need it.
The friendships, cultural exchanges, and personal growth you’ll experience here will truly be priceless, I guarantee you that.

Is there a memorable moment or experience that you would like to share?

From day one, every moment felt special. I immediately felt at home thanks to the warmth and openness of the ENS community. It was like finding lasting friendships, a family, and a support system all wrapped in one. I particularly appreciated the unique thought processes that professors and students brought from their different experiences and cultures.
These two years have truly been a blast. I’ve learned so much, grown in ways I never expected, and shared moments I’ll always carry with me. If I could relive it all again, I wouldn’t change a thing—just experience everything again with fresh eyes, like it’s the very first time.
Looking back, I’m grateful not just for the education, but for the people and unforgettable moments that made this journey so meaningful.

What are your future aspirations after completing the degree?

After completing my degree, I aspire to build a career where I can combine digital innovation with entrepreneurship, bringing people together to create meaningful impact. I’m excited to keep growing, learning, and contributing to a dynamic global community.
